Hello everyone!

We discovered that there is no ability to auto-populate information to a side conversation via Microsoft Teams in Macros.

The only options are per - Using macros to start side conversation:

  • Side conversation via email
  • Side conversation via Slack
  • Side conversation via child ticket

Please consider adding the ability for Microsoft Teams side conversation via a macro.

Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. There are no current plans for this enhancement to macros at this point but we will take this into consideration as we continue to plan out our roadmaps.

Hi Zendesk Team,

Agreed! This would be super helpful! The side conversations are amazing for coordinating with other teams over “Teams” and storing all the information on the ticket, but we require specific templates to be used to work with those teams. Using Macros in this space would allow us to populate the template while starting the conversation.

Best,

Crlll

I really need a Macro so that my team can communicate the same way every time through Teams. Without the macro, I'm getting all sorts of haphazard Teams posts. Missing information, missing carriage returns, no uniformity despite having a jobaid that instructs how to correctly do this.
