What is the WFM Public API EAP?
Posted Jan 31, 2024
The WFM Public API Early Access Program (EAP) offers a powerful new tool for customers to harness their data more effectively. Currently we have two endpoints available:
Reports endpoint: This endpoint allows users to extract data from both default and custom reports by specifying the ID of the desired report template. With the ability to customise grouping, filtering criteria, and a range of metrics, users gain enhanced control over their report generation. This flexibility ensures tailored insights to meet specific business needs.
Agent Activity endpoint: This endpoint allows user to extract detailed information on their agents' activities. Type of activity, start and end times , durations and it includes end and start day activities (commonly known as clock in and clock out).
Developer Resources: While the EAP is ongoing, we provide developer resources to help you navigate and utilize the WFM Public API effectively. It can be found here.
EAP Limitations: These endpoints will be available only for Zendesk WFM customers (previously Tymeshift). Also, it's important to note that this is just the initial offering; we plan to introduce additional endpoints until the end of the year, expanding the scope and capabilities of the API. Regarding the documentation for this endpoint, it's a work in progress that we will improve and update along the way.
This early access phase is an exciting opportunity for users to take their data analysis to the next level, leveraging WFM data for more nuanced and powerful insights.

Hi there - are there any plans for API endpoints around scheduling? I was under the impression that the API EAP was allowing you to sync up Zendesk WFM with your company's HRIS. We are moving to Workday later this year and I was hoping to sync up these systems but I'm not really understanding where or how this is possible.
Thanks,
Lauren

Hello Lauren Benkov . Thanks for your interest! The EAP of our API does not include Scheduling endpoints right now. We've only started building public part of API, the first area to get covered was chosen to be Reporting. Scheduling endpoints are definitely coming down the road, but no specific quarter is currently assigned. We'll try to fit it into our Q4 scope.

Hello -
The link to the development resources appears to be broke. Can you provide a new link to access the developer resources documentation?
