Zendesk chat not showing users anymore

A part of this upgrade is to not show users at all in the zendesk chat app? This is awful. This removes so much functionality on how to approach customers and to see who is online. Why would you ever remove this. We will need to look elsewhere as this is taking 10 steps back.

I agree with the original comment from Exposure events. Having the users visible gives me a sense of how busy of a day it is, and if any of my coworkers are logged in. Also, I can contact customers directly if they are on line. I used to log in and stay on this page. Now it's just a dead looking screen. It was also easy to access other features on this screen. Please bring it back!

Exposure Events
There are a ton of use cases. One is to reach out to users to make a sale or update them on a service to see if we can get them on board as a new customer.
Another one is if a customer is emailing and not using chat we can reach out to them directly if they are having trouble finding chat (yes it happens).
It's good for testing and verifying what the user is doing and to make sure they are not a hacker or competitor.
We use this feature daily as we are a real time customer support system, we aren't passive like others who wait for someone to reach out to them.
