New zendesk update to Workspaces: Macros, now manually editing the order of Active macros is broken
Posted Jul 15, 2024
I just used the updated interface for macros. With the new Zendesk update to Workspaces: Macros, the manual editing of the order of Active macros is now broken.
I created a new macro in Workspaces > Macros with the filter Status Active, which is inserted at the bottom of the list of macros.
When I select Actions>Edit order, the macros presented are not the Active macros. ERROR.
In the previous Managing macros interface, the existing order of Active macros was presented (displayed) correctly.
Is this a bug? Is there a fix?

Stumbled upon same thing myself.
When you enter the “edit order” menu not only active macros are listed but all of them.
It is cluttered but in theory you can still order them, you just do not know which are active and which are not.
However, there is a second issue. If you have more than a 100 active and inactive macros in total not all are visible as only 100 are displayed by default.
I found a workaround to display more, so you have all listed and you can edit the order.
Simply change this part in the URL to a number higher than the total amount of you macros.
Changing the “active=true" to “active=false", however does nothing, while it probably should :)
I hope this help.
Best regards,
Primož
