New Article Settings Panel Slowing Down Workflow

The changes made to the article settings panel in the guide editor are doing the opposite from what was intended:

The article settings panel has been redesigned to group common management and placement functions together, resulting in a better organized and efficient article editor space.

The Management and Viewing Permissions settings have been separated out from each other.  We use these settings hand-in-hand but now it takes double the clicks to get into each option.

Previously, all article settings were contained within a single panel, which meant they were always visible, creating visual clutter when there was rarely a need to update them.

Having all settings always visible in a single panel was beneficial as we are constantly reviewing placement and permission settings through our KCS process.   I'm also having trouble understanding why an overhaul like this was considered necessary when the option to minimize the settings panel from the context panel could have addressed the “clutter” instead.

When you wanted to update a setting, you had to scroll through all of the settings to find the one you needed.

We still need to scroll through “all of the settings” of the Placement group so it's unclear what problem was being solved here.

The new article settings layout groups common management and placement functions into two logical sections, resulting in a more organized and efficient article editor space.

Article Owner and Author have been separated into separate groups.

The panel also offers a clear and simple overview that displays the current article settings that are in place.

It does not display Article Author.

I do understand the intent in wanting to condense the article settings, but I would prefer it be an option to collapse the settings in the panel manually rather than the way it is now.

+1 way too many clicks to get the settings updated on an article. I would rather see the ability to publish one article to multiple sections take priority over these small updates that do not make guide management more effect and have little positive impact for end users.
