Request article should be reportable in Explore in "Knowledge Capture" dataset
Posted Aug 07, 2024
Please give a quick overview of your product feature request or feedback and note who in your org is affected by this issue [ex. agents, admins, customers, etc.]. (2-3 sentences)
“Request article” is a function in the Knowledge sidebar app. However, this metric is NOT reportable in explore. You have to build a custom metric to point at tickets requested, whereas all other metrics look at USER NAME. This custom, tickets metric can only be linked to TICKET REQUESTER.
What problem do you see this solving? (1-2 sentences)
KCS, a program run by zendesk should be customizable or be able to include all of the actions agents take within that app.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool? What happened? How often does this problem occur and how does this impact your business? (3-4 sentences)
Every day
Are you currently using a workaround to solve this problem? (If yes, please explain) (1-2 sentences)
We tried to build a custom metrics, but seems like the only thing we will be able to do is export this data and maniulate it elsewhere.
What would be your ideal solution to this problem? How would it work or function? (1-2 sentences)
There is a default metric of “articles requested” within the knowledge capture dataset, that can be tied to USER NAME instead of TICKET REQUESTER

This is a key item for us to be able to successfully measure KCS engagement. It feels like the pieces are there but it's not being pushed to the dataset.

Having this included in Knowledge Capture for reporting on agent engagement is something we really need as a measure of success for our KCS program. We would greatly appreciate adding this so we can report on all KCS activity.
