I agree.

The previous version had the CC box for users. I use the Web Widget in applications and on webpages. My customers/users are always asking for the CC to be added back.

Hi,

The ability to see searches entered on a guide and in a widget in a report is necessary for account managers to improve the search results for articles.

Seeing customer searches has helped me reduce the number of unnecessary customer ticket creation by using the searches as labels in articles so the customer gets the correct FAQ/guide going forward.

I have not been able to recreate the old Insight "Searches" report in the new Explorer.

Zendesk needs to recreate the "Searches" report as one of the default reports in Explorer or at the very least make the search data available to use in custom reports.

Hi,

I want to request also that the Pathfinder app to be restored as a version 2 app. I need this app to help maintain my help center FAQs with the correct labels to create better search results and to know if my customers clicked the correct FAQ or not.

Hi,

The wording used in the password reset notification email message sent when someone clicks on the "Forgot my password" link on the login screen is creating confusion for our customers.

My office has a web application portal that requires a login to access many web applications that a user is authorized to access.

We had customer resetting their account password for our business portal on a zendesk help center page. The customer thought the zendesk account password reset was for our business portal where they need to login and submit data on time to meet our office's deadlines.

Why can't the zendesk account owner update the password reset text just like the other customer text under Settings>Customer?

We are using a custom welcome message.

If anything the zendesk default "forgot my password" message should be specific for end users or customizable. Technically logging into a "portal" is for the purpose to get access to something secure that is not publicly accessible. Ticket threads are accessible through email for the end user with the same content.

+1

I have an accessibility issue with the login popup. Most screen readers cannot detect the login popup and I would like to customize it or use it as a standalone page in my Help Center.

Hi,

Sorry about not posting a status update sooner.

I opened a support ticket to address the issue in the new Help Center format not allowing PDFs to be displayed as the article when the PDF is stored in your Zendesk account as an asset or as an article attachment.

Zendesk is not going to allow PDFs to be displayed as an article if the PDF is stored in your Zendesk account. PDFs can only be stored as an attachment in an article going forward in the new Help Center format. Zendesk wants PDFs to be stored outside of your Zendesk account like in Google Docs for example if you need to display them.

I can display PDF files from another website as an article with the code posted at https://gist.github.com/moderatorwes/03a8fd4152f43a981bc12178b9238137 .

@ioannis

Sorry about not being clear on the Help Center version. I updated my previous post and I will post the results on the new help center theme.

@ioannis

Thanks!

It worked fine on the older version of the Help Center with attached PDFs in an article that is viewable (not hidden).

I need to test in the new version of the Help Center now.

Hi,

Zendesk is depricating the ability to upload PDF files as assets with the new Help Center templates.

Has anyone had any success with displaying article PDF attachments in the same article for the new Help Centers?
