Hello,
I would need the possibility to update the Brand of Closed tickets. We are in progress of splitting one Brand in multiple and I would need to keep the historical tickets under the new Brand so that they are visible to the end-users in Zendesk Guide. Any plans to enlarge the functionality to allow updating the Brand of closed tickets at least via API?
Thanks and best regards, Alfredo

Hello Nicole,
The latest version of Zendesk Guide templates (V4) is based on React and it is using the Garden components. Basically you will need to re-implement this logic within react to filter out those options that you need to hide before passing the data to the drop-down component. This approach is cleaner and also offers many other possibilities of customization.
I hope that this information helps.
Best regards, Alfredo

Hello Dustin,
Version 4 of templates is based on React and basically you need to code the logic prior rendering the component, so totally a new implementation. The new version receives the form, fields and options as an object which provides the data to the React component. This new approach will give you much more flexibility in customizing your form and even you can use your own components.
I hope that this information helps.
Best regards, Alfredo

Hello Shawna,
Thank you very much for bringing this topic to the PM team. In general, I am wondering what is the reason of restricting these possibilities because this is affecting about 4-5 of our consumer facing help centers that rely on this capability. As mentioned in my description, we have very short and clear FAQs which we would like to display all in one page, including the content of the FAQ / article, so we have built a nice accordion effect to show the title and then the body when the user clicks on the title. We surely still want to keep them as separate articles so that they can be shared and maintained individually.
If you like, I can send you the public URLs of those help centers so that you get an idea of our implementation.
Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards, Alfredo

Alfredo Navarro commented,
Here the documentation of those changes:
- Updated object properties/helpers: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/help_center/help-center-templates/v3/#updated-object-propertieshelpers
- article object: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/help_center/help-center-templates/v3/#article-object
Please rollback these changes to avoid huge limitations in our themes. Thanks!

Alfredo Navarro created a post,
The article object is not anymore available in the home page when listing categories and sections. In addition, the body, counter and show more articles are not available outside of the article page. We have very slim articles that we like to display as full content in the home page, category or section page when listing all articles. I would like to request that these objects are again fully available as they were in V3.
The V3 was much more flexible in the way of displaying categories, sections and articles, even with the size limitation when lisiting articles.
This issue is preventing and blocking us to upgrade to V4, and we would like to upgrade to the latest version in order to leverage the latest customization options that are available with the new request form.
There is no workaround available unless that we change the whole user experience which is affecting directly our customers.
Please bring back these objects as they were available in Templates V3.

Hello,
We actually have the same need over here in one of our workflows. I have also checked and there is no possibility to "unshare" (or even share) via the API, or maybe I did not find it.
In addition, there is no option via macro to affect the sharing of tickets which could also be beneficial.
Any information if this is in the roadmap?
Thanks!

Hello,
We have the same requirement as we use a lot of different drop-downs for end-user facing forms and some of them have quite a lot of entries (the typical case is the Country field). It could be great to have a searchable / type ahead drop-down, but not only for single-select but also for multi-select field (here another post covering the multi-select fields although without many votes: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4409222720538-External-Facing-Forms-Multi-Select-Drop-down-Fields-Allow-Type-Ahead). I hope that both types of fields are covered when this gets implemented.
Looking forward to this functionality for our forms.
Thanks and regards, Alfredo

Hello Dustin Swayne,
I have not tried it with the latest version of the Copenhagen theme. We have our own custom one based actually on a previous version and we did not upgrade since there were not many features. I will give it a try anyway to see if it still works (although it should be if the structure of drop-down options did not change).
Best regards, Alfredo
