Hey everybody,

this is currently a feature we are looking into implementing. Current implementation would be closing one thread and referring it to the new one, totaling the votes. This would not merge the comments on one page but would refer all users to a single source of truth post. 

If you have any feedback on this, please let me know.

I wanted to update this thread and let everyone know we have started focusing on the communities part of Guide again and will start releasing new features soon, we even have open EAPs for Alias and soon @mentions

Hey everyone, my name is Oscar and I am the Product Manager for the Zendesk community product. 

I am aware of this request and have included this thread as well as individual feedback we have gotten in my research.

I definitely expect that we will make improvements to adding tag/labels and organizing content - but we currently do not have it on the short term roadmap so I can't give any specific timeline.

I will keep this thread updated - in the meantime please continue to vote and voice your opinion, it does genuinely matter.

Hey Kelsey + others,

I am interested in knowing the specific use case for why it is useful to have non-signed in users post to the community. Is this something you want to share more about here in the community? Potentially we could also connect through email or a call if you want to talk more about it in depth.

We are releasing a feature very soon related to this, end-user alias. This will allow end-users to add an alias name to their account and thereby avoiding to expose their real name in the community. Is this at all relevant to you?

Appreciate the feedback.

Hey Christophe!

Sounds like a really great awesome use case for our community, if support is one of the main purposes of your community I think it makes a lot of sense to create a community within your Zendesk ecosystem. 

I don't have a lot to add to what Nicole said above as I believe it is really great content and guidance she is providing. I just wanted to let you know we are always keen to hear your feedback and work with customers to provide to help them provide a great community experience for their customers.

Justin,

the workaround currently proposed and what I believe Zunaira and her team went with - is something similar to what we have in our own Zendesk Community: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics (Click topics)

Where you can see the topics have been organised under several different headlines. This is not really a workaround to the specific problem but something that might work in some cases to get an extra layer of organisation.
