New messaging chat has persistent chat history in SDK. Also for legacy chat it’s possible to build own chat UI with history, though it requires some development effort.

There is beta for Zendesk DM in Sunshine conversations. You may look into this. Or you can try our Instagramer for DMs as a working workaround https://www.zendesk.com/apps/support/instagramer/

Agents must be informed when e-mails are hard bounced. Building a workaround process is a good idea for app developers though.
