It's beyond bad this feature doesn't exist. I imported and cleaned up 60 articles that are going thru "review" (don't get me started on the poor review process). After they're approved, we need to pay someone to manually move these from the temporary staging area to where these will live, one by one.
Later this year, we plan on a user study to find out how our customers want things organized. I expect a massive reorg out of that. And we'll pay someone to move the articles, one by one. Instead of creating new content that meets my customers' and my teams' needs.
How is this not even on the roadmap?

Sharon Burton created a post,
In our workflow, all articles must be reviewed by another set of eyes before they are published. During the review process, it's typical for the reviewer to make small changes to the article. But making any change to an article in review drops it out of review status. This makes it difficult for the original author to track the status of their articles and know which are actually ready to publish and which are still in progress.
Right now, our content development process is small enough, we can manually track reviews using spreadsheets outside Zendesk (hello 1998). As I look to scaling this process in 2022, we have problems with this workflow. This simply won't scale to a higher content production output.
The review process workflow is only half solved.

Sharon Burton commented,
This is all lovely, but when the reviewer changes the content, the article falls out of review. This is not a robust process and will be a huge issue for us as we scale next year. Our process requires another set of eyes on everything before it's published and we expect reviewers to make small changes. Then there is no way for the original author to see it their articles are in review status or not.
This needs to be fixed. You solved half the problem and the other half is critical to solving the entire problem.

Sharon Burton commented,
We have steps that are very similar across articles for the first 3 to 5 steps and then the procedure varies. I would want ordered lists and unordered lists in that block. I would want to apply bold and perhaps code to the text in that block. I want to continue numbering steps from that block into the ordered list that follows it.
Graphics in a block would be huge. I'm dreading any serious updates to the UI in our products, as we must manually find all instanced and then update. That's going to be awful.

Sharon Burton commented,
Are we going to get at least formatting in the content blocks soon? Graphics would be awesome, too. I'm living in horror of the time a screen shot we use across multiple articles needs to be found and updated.

Sharon Burton commented,
I want to rename Promoted articles to Recently updated. How? I can't find the string in anything.
