I am adding my comments in hopes they help elevate this request.
The way Zendesk Knowledge Base (FAQ) manages translations of Category and Section is (to put it nicely) less than ideal.
Please develop this side of your product. It's current form makes it very cumbersome to maintain and expand.
For example, our organization would like this type of functionality:
When working from Arrange Articles (image below), it would be great to select the languages you're using. If you select French, your French Category, Section, and Article Structure is shown.
If a Category or Section does not exist for the selected language, its name (in the account's default language), followed by text or a tag stating that the Category/Section translation does not exist, would be shown.
If a Category or Section exists for the selected language but is marked as Draft, the Draft tag is shown.

p.s. That's actually not true. My locs are freakin' luscious! I'm just frustrated with how this aspect of Zendesk functions :(
