Hi, when clicking an anchor link in an article, it sometimes does not reach the exact location in the destination - sometimes above, sometimes below. This can sometimes be even a page above or below. Are you aware of this issue which makes using anchor tags in articles a bit problematic. Also, according to this reference, using the name attribute (as advised in your article) has been deprecated and replaced with id. Even replacing with id does not always cause the link to reach the desired destination. Would be grateful to hear what others are experiencing and possible workarounds for this issue. At this point, I am minimizing my use of anchors as much as possible. Thanks!

Hi Ifra Saqlain,
I have an article that I want to make unsearchable in the Help Center. People will only be able to access the article with a direct link. I saw previous posts where you provided guidelines on how to implement this.
1. Please confirm that I need to add the code to the script.js file.
2. What is the exact code that I need to add and in what line?
Thank you so much,
Dganit

Hi,
I need some help in refining our help center usage metrics. Almost all the articles in our help center include a table of contents that we create using the h4 tag, for example:
Introduction
.
If a customer accesses an article with a table of contents, the URL changes as the person scrolls up and down the article.
The problem: every time that the URL changes as a result of a scroll, the data is being captured in our stats as if the customer viewed this section explicitly. We would like to capture this data only when the customer clicks explicitly on the section name in the table of contents and not as a result of scrolling. I think this will be much more indicative of the customer's interest and activity.
I would love some guidance on how to implement this. Thanks so much in advance.

Hey everyone, this was working for me for a few days and today again, no luck - I don't see my headings again...
Very frustrating. Are others experiencing the same?

Hi,
In the meantime, as a workaround, I'm adding anchors to the text that I want to link to. The anchored text is showing up in the Heading tab.
Here's the article that I used to learn how: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408830732698

Hi,
Although I have defined text sections in my article with Heading 4, they are not appearing in the Heading tab when I try to link to them from within the article. Until today, this was working fine.
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Dganit

Hi community,
Here's my scenario that I hope you can help me with. I have 1 category that includes 4 sections with articles in each section. I'd like to hide this 1 category/4 sections/all articles in the sections from the Help Center and enable people to reach the articles only by a direct link.
I used the very helpful guidance and was able to hide the category and (so far) 1 section from the Help Center. I'm still not getting the final result that I need. Here are my questions:
1. When hiding sections, are the articles in each section automatically hidden or do I need to hide each article separately?
2. How do I hide multiple sections? I was only able to hide one.
3. After hiding a section, I then searched for an article in that section. The article came up in the search results and using the result, I was able to navigate back to the hidden section. In the attached screenshot, an article is retrieved from the Builder section, a section that I was able to hide. So what I am finding here, is that even if a section is hidden, searching for an article that is located in a hidden section will bring up the result with the Help Center breadcrumbs and not as a stand-alone article. This in effect negates hiding the section.
Thanks for any guidance and tips.
Best wishes, Dganit
