I was thinking along the lines of making it as simple as possible for customers i.e. the top viewed article to only appear in the search results page.

What Zack Gilbert has mentioned above makes sense, it means the customer can "click" on the option to filter duplicates out if they don't want to see it in multiple places.

Can you create a View to show you all the articles placed in more than one section? I couldn't see any current filters that would allow me to see which articles have been placed into multiple sections.

Following on from https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/8371476981018

I noticed in “All articles” that the article I placed in multiple sections appears many times on this screen (placed in 10 sections and appears 10 times on the list).

I refreshed thinking it's a caching issue however it still appears multiple times. When you click on each one, it's the same article.

I tested other articles and any article that you add to more than one section will appear multiple times on the “All articles” screen.

Issue: Maximum number of sections selected. You need to deselect 1 section. (Limit: 10 sections per article).

  1. Edit an article
  2. Add sections - as a test, I chose 10 as that is the maximum limit
  3. Click Done

The error pop-up appeared on the screen stating I had to deselect a section as 10 is the limit. I can not add an article to 10 sections. This appears to be a bug. If I deselect 1, it means I can only add an article to 9 sections. To get around this, if you leave it at 9, click Done, then click the + button to add a section, you can then add the 10th section.

Issue: When I unarchive an article to then update the section, the section does not update to the section you chose when viewing it on the Article settings panel

  1. Unarchive an article
  2. Edit the section of the article
  3. Click Manage sections
  4. Search for the section folder
  5. Select the radio button
  6. Click Done - At this point, the “Sections” show that you've added it to the section you have chosen
  7. Click Update settings

Go back to the Article Settings panel, the section has not been updated. Repeat steps 2 to 7, and the section will finally appear.

The first thing a user would see is the Article Title on the search results page which is all they care about.

The article should only appear once on the search results page. Displaying multiple results will just confuse end users and agents. Even though the breadcrumb is visible to indicate where the article is placed, most people don't care for it or even notice it.

The select a section screen remains scrolled down.

Steps:

> Add a new section

> On the Select a section screen, select a category

> Select a section (parent)

> Within the (parent) section, select a (child) section

What I'm expecting:

- Between selecting a parent section and child section, I'm expecting the screen to show me everything from the top.

What's happening:

- The screen displays with the scroll bar down from where you left off from the parent section.

==Edited to add==

It would be better if:

- The screen doesn't appear like this and instead, brings you back up when you've selected a section to see other sections.

- Being able to search for sections would be a lot easier than having to click through one after another.

Hi Katarzyna Karpinska

The announcement article states:

First, sign up! We’ll activate the EAP on your account within a week of your submission. Once you get confirmation that you've been enrolled in the EAP, you'll have the ability to use article multiplacement without any additional action from your side.

I've signed up but haven't heard anything for over a week. Can you please assist?

CommentGetting started with messaging

Hi

Can someone please update this documentation to state that once the migration is complete, an automatic email is sent out to anyone who is considered an agent?

We weren't expecting this to occur and has confused a lot of our employees. Not everyone is an agent for support and the majority use it to sign in to access articles.

Community comment Discussion - Tips and best practices from the community

Hey All,

Adding a tip for anyone who uses LotusThemes.

Vlad's code has “.comment-body”:

$('.comment-body p a[href*="vimeo"], .post-body a[href*="vimeo"]').each(function(){

Find your equivalent in the LotusTheme you use then replace it (tip: right-click and inspect element works a charm)

Example: In the theme we use, it's “post__text” and would look like this:

$('.post__text p a[href*="vimeo"], .post-body a[href*="vimeo"]').each(function(){

Once I replaced that, the script detected any vimeo link and displayed the video against the post.
