trena, in a case like yours, i would probably go for another type of solution - a custom one. i would suggest next time you try a different approach and deploy a connector that will handle all the integration processes, like mappings, etc, for you. i'm sure you've researched the topic, however, i'll share my experience with a tool called zigiops. it's a bi-directional tool that has helped me a lot with jira-zendesk integrations.

Eric Nelson, thanks for the info. I've never heard about automate.io. yet, I've used exalate/workato. currently using zigiops for a number of reasons. but i guess the market is full of options.
