Victor Millette commented,
I just created a suggestion for better DIV creation in the editor that could help with this.
The suggestion is to add a div tool to the toolbar that allows you to give it a new class or assign existing ones. This way, it's relatively easy for most users to set their content in custom boxes, like Tips, Notes, and Warnings, and create any custom content.

Victor Millette created a post,
I just noticed a keyboard shortcut to create DIVs in our articles exists.
It's nice to have, and I have a few suggestions:
- Add a visual cue in the editor to show that the content getting created or selected is now in a DIV.
- You could create an outline around the DIVed content.
- Add a way to quickly add a class when you create a DIV; otherwise, just creating DIVs in the editor or with a keyboard shortcut still requires navigating to the code editor to add it, making that feature slightly meaningless.
- It could be added to the toolbar at the top with a dropdown with options like you have with Tables.
- Add an option to save and reuse classes. This would be extremely useful for creating custom things like Tip, Note, and Caution boxes.
Thanks for your consideration :)

Victor Millette commented,
I return to this one every few months when I forget there isn't a shortcut and realize it would be useful.
It makes me miss using IA Writer a lot.

Victor Millette commented,
The same is true for our company. We often send a link to the draft version of new articles, like release notes, to subject matter experts who usually have an agent role in ZenDesk. I usually remember to change this setting, but it's annoying when we forget to set it to Agents and Admins, and we do no need tighter access control.
