Feature request summary
As you can see from this support ticket, we've been having trouble with our image URLs since the guide media feature was released. By default, they're added as – but apparently the only way to make them work (and allow Google to index them) is by using .
Description/Use cases
All image uploads work as described above now, so all use cases involving images.
Business impact of limitation or missing feature
The previous image upload feature worked just fine, so the new feature is a downgrade. It introduces a lot of manual work, both for new and existing images. If a workaround isn't introduced, my team and I'll waste valuable time going through all guide-media images and manually changing their default URLs.

Hi!
When writing or editing articles on Guide, a lot of space is wasted by the right-hand side menu.
The only option from this menu that provides value to the user throughout the documentation process is the Save button. All other options are mostly used at the beginning and/or the end.
As a result, Guide users without a two- or three-screen setup need to either:
- Get accustomed to the cramped workspace.
- Work without a side-by-side setup, which in itself is a waste of space. It also slows them down, if there's a need to check information in one application while writing/editing on Guide.
By moving the Save button to a different part of the page and providing the user with the option to hide the right-hand side menu, you'd make Guide a lot better and more pleasant to work with.
