Hi there!
Is there a way to make a private community topic but share the direct link to a post within the topic? The thought process here is that the link would live in a training module and direct users to make a post in the community, but ideally we would want it to be visible to just users with the direct link.
Thank you,
Francisco

Francisco created a post,
Hey folks,
I manage our community and we have a slack app that was integrated pre-my time at my company where when a Community member makes a post or comment, it sends an email and the email is logged into a slack channel. Every single community post/comment.
Recently, I've been revamping our Community initiatives, and it has brought in more engagement, but yes, it also has increased these posts in slack.
I want to get rid of it. Does anyone use another tool or have any recommendations for other apps?
Ideal situation...
- Community member makes a post > the post is integrated into a slack message
- The message in slack includes the person's name, account, date/time, and a snippet of the message.
- Comments for this post are captured in slack but it doesn't come in as an individual message
- Other things to note - we have Salesforce and Gainsight to house account/CSM interactions
I know this is a unique ask and appreciate any thoughts or comments; happy to provide more context.

Hi there!
Unfortunately, I was not able to attend this event. Looking forward to attending the next one. I'm in an unofficial community manager role and working on revamping our community forum. I have no prior experience managing a virtual community forum, but really want to learn more. Currently, I've been doing a lot of research and creating internal enablement materials to help drive more users to use the community... but not sure if I'm taking the right approach or if I should be thinking differently.
I'm not sure if this is the space to ask, but I'm curious if there are any recommended resources, helpful articles, training, data, etc, that can help me learn and provide more tools to help me become more knowledgeable in the community management space?
Thank you in advance!

Francisco created a post,
Hi there community,
I am trying not to reinvent the wheel here and use Zen Desk's community to create a forum for beta users. My vision is to have a space where Beta users that are testing out a potential tool can connect with one another, share notes, continue the conversation, and engage with folks creating the tool (e.g. PMMs, Engineers, etc).
My question: is there a way we could create a community topic (or something within ZD) that is private to a particular group of beta testers to engage with one another?
Thank you all for the insight!

Hi there,
Are "set statuses" visible to users? Is there a recommended way to label posts for internal use. For example, a member of our team can go back, filter by the status, to then review at a later time.
Best,
Francisco

As the title mentions- does the poster get notified if their post was deleted?

Hi @...,
So I clicked on the user's name from the comment/post like you mentioned, and it took me to their profile on the Support page, where I see all their submitted tickets. From there, unfortunately, I don't see anything that allows me to add a badge.
Best,
Francisco

Francisco commented,
Hi there!
I'm managing the gather community page and I would like to award badges for our staff who will respond to comments and posts. However, when I follow these instructions, I am being taken to the staff member's/user support profile instead. Is there a work around to this or any suggestions?
Best,
Francisco
