Nate Koterba commented,
Figured I could be the first post of 2025…
Would be really nice to have a non-API means to search Deleted tickets. We have 15k deleted tickets and need to find a single ticket.
The ability to use the standard “Ticket search” view to include somehting like `status: deleted` would be a great product enhancement:

@Scott - We are trying to calculate some metrics using the Zendesk Ticket API. However, like the OP, the only timestamps on the ticket seem to be created and updated. We need to know when the ticket was resolved/closed, yet I don't see how we can identify that easily from the standard /tickets endpoint?
Any ideas/thoughts?

Nate Koterba commented,
Does anyone at @zendesk maintain this application?
I have a bug to file as well as some questions around the application.
I've resorted to writing our own custom application to overcome the shortcomings of this app.

Nate Koterba commented,
+1 here as well. We have tried using light agents for this purpose but since light agent users can send tickets to Zendesk, they then become requestors and requestors can change any property (including status) on their own tickets, which defeats the purpose of “read-only”.
I'm pretty surprised there isn't a read-only “agent” mode.

James Rodewig or others on the Zendesk documentation team:
The current documentation for profiles is incorrect. It says `/token` should be appended to the email when doing `zcli login -i` but that throws this error:
Failed to log in to your account: .`
Removing `/token` did, however, successfully login to the profile.
This is the section that needs to be fixed: https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/apps/getting-started/using-zcli/#profiles
ZCLI Version: @zendesk/zcli/1.0.0-beta.47 darwin-x64 node-v20.17.0
