Customers Affected: Zendesk customers using Custom Object APIs, Custom Objects pages in Admin Center, and Sunshine Data Manager will experience a brief service disruption of approximately 15 minutes at some time within the one-hour maintenance window. During this time, calls to the Custom Objects API may fail with a 500 or 503 status code.
Affected products: Custom Objects API, Admin Center (specifically the custom object and relationship pages), and Sunshine Data Manager.
Expected behavior: Internal and external services relying on the Custom Objects API should anticipate disruption of approximately 15 minutes during the maintenance period. Specifically, all Custom Object API endpoints and Custom Object UIs will be inaccessible while the upgrade is being performed.
Please note that backend processes will still occur without issue, so you can expect all other API services outside of the endpoints listed here to continue functioning normally. Customers should retry the failed requests to said API outside the maintenance window to confirm the service resumed has successfully. Zendesk will not retry the API calls made during the timeframe listed above.
Why we're doing this: The Zendesk Custom Data team is upgrading our databases for increased reliability and performance.
