Zendesk will perform critical maintenance on the WhatsApp Business API Clients hosted on our European and US platforms. We have chosen to increase the maintenance window duration to spread the upgrades and reduce the load they generate on our infrastructure. Note that each WhatsApp Business API Client will be upgraded separately during the times listed below:
EU Hosting Platform Window
- Start: August 2nd, 2021 at 19:00 UTC (12:00 PDT)
- End: August 3rd, 2021 at 7:00 UTC (0:00 PDT)
US Hosting Platform Window
U.S. customers will experience delays for one 5-minute period in one of the two windows below:
Part 1
- Start: August 3rd, 2021 at 23:00 UTC (16:00 PDT)
- End: August 4th, 2021 at 11:00 UTC (4:00 PDT)
Part 2
- Start: August 4th, 2021 at 23:00 UTC (16:00 PDT)
- End: August 5th, 2021 at 11:00 UTC (4:00 PDT)
Customers Affected: All customers using a WhatsApp number
Affected products: WhatsApp messages within Sunshine Conversations and Support
Expected behavior: During this maintenance window, customers may experience a brief period of WhatsApp message delay lasting less than 5 minutes. Please note the rest of the Sunshine Conversations platform will remain unaffected and no service interruption will occur on any other parts of the platform.
When the upgrade of each API client is complete, WhatsApp message delivery will be fully restored, no messages will be lost, and no action will be required on your part.
Why we're doing this: We will be upgrading all API clients from version 2.33.4, expiring September 2nd, 2021, to 2.35.4, which is the current stable release recommended by WhatsApp.
