Customers Affected: Zendesk Chat and Messaging customers in Agent Workspace on all Pods will experience a maximum service disruption of 5 minutes at some time within the 30 minutes maintenance window.
Affected products: Agent Workspace (Chat, Messaging)
Expected behavior:
- Chat
- No incoming chat requests
- Customers using the legacy Chat dashboard will find the agent response times stretching to include this 5 minutes
- Messaging
- Agents will not be able to receive messages
Why we're doing this: During the service incident on June 10th, 2021 affecting Chats and Messaging in Agent Workspace on Pod 18, Zendesk switched the routing of Chat traffic from Pod 18 to Pod 17 to reduce the impact to our customers, as well as the duration of the incident. For more information on the incident, please refer to this Service Notification Article. We are now reverting that change and moving routing services back to Pod 18.
