    @Kenny -  Nice and clean.  The only suggestion that I have is to make the site responsive as I had to scroll when viewing on a tablet.

    Hi Kenny and Mark. Which Help Center theme are you two running?

  • kenny visterin

    @sean

    Im using the custom theme and have added some adjustments to the homepage. (The 4 sections with the icons and the knowledge base bar)

    Kind regards!

    We have just finished first version of our KB:

    http://support.ipushpull.com

    It was ok to develop, but you will run into some annoyances. One of the worst thing for me was the side-bar code editor and basically how you have to switch between pages etc.

    I have developed kind of a bootstrap project that behaves almost identically to KB so you can develop the template on your machine and then simply copy it over to ZD. If anyone would be interested I can put it on github

    Hi Tomáš!

    Your Help Center looks gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing. :)

    I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in seeing the coding solution you came up with so definitely feel free to post it. If you're so inclined, you could even post an official Community Tip here: Tips & Tricks.

    You can create the post on your own from scratch if you like, or you can use our Community Sharing Form. Just fill it out, and we'll format the post for you and post it on your behalf to save you some time. :)

    Thanks again for sharing!

    Here's an example of the SwiftKey help center that we have put some work into. It's fully responsive and will show you different category pages whether on Android/ iOS devices.

    @Wes thanks for the kind words. We are always looking to make it better and have a new phase for the mobile experience rolling out soon.

    @Josh -- SwiftKey HC has the best homepage design I've seen.

    Shameless plug...worked a bunch on support.coachup.com earlier this year. Going to "borrow" some ideas from the SwiftKey homepage when I circle back on improvements.

    @Jennifer thanks

    @Justin feel free to borrow - that is definitely a compliment. Our customers are largely on mobile so building a genuine on-brand experience for these devices was a focus.

    http://support.editiondigital.com/hc/ - amazing design, much different than other Zendesk Help Center experiences, almost wouldn't recognize it's Zendesk (which is usualy mostly text-based)...

    Ivan - That looks pretty smooth, definitely would not assume its ZD by just looking at it on the surface.

    Our team has tweaked the SwiftKey HC once more with a new header image.

    Also a new guide content style. It has navigation modules on the right and next buttons at the bottom of each entry.

    I think it's about time I showed some of the HCs we have done for our customers. The additional features these HCs offer are:

    • Predictive text
    • Dropdown text (good for Troubleshooting and FAQs)
    • Better management of videos (see ControlUp video section)
    • Left navigation menu
    • Full KB dropdown (as in the Zendesk Support HC)
    • Thumbnails for images and videos.
    • Indented numbering (not just 1 level)
    • Collapsable/Expandable feature in articles
    • Adding a 4th level of hierarchy, rather than 3

    Take a look at these examples:

    Contact me at swiseman@contextengage.com if you want to know more about creating Help Centers with design and/or features like the above.
