Remove/hide the "Submit a request" button from the bottom of articles on mobile
RespondidaWhen users access our Zendesk articles from a mobile device, there is a gray "Submit a request" button at the bottom.
We would like to remove/hide this button from all users. How would we do this? The sample code I've found and tried so far does not seem to affect this particular button, so I'm thinking that those folks were hiding different things than I am interested in. (Or maybe I just looked at the wrong examples.)
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott! Sorry for the late reply!
At this time it's not possible to customize the mobile version of the Help Center. If you have certain things restricted in the desktop version and want that to carry over to the mobile experience, my recommendation would be to actually disable the mobile version of the site and have customers use the desktop version on their mobile devices.
For the moment, our Help Center themes are not responsive, which means that that the desktop version might not work so well on a mobile device. However, one of our awesome Community Moderators put together a couple of custom responsive themes that you might be able to use to optimize the mobile experience for your customers. I've provided some links below:
- Help Center Responsive Design
- Help Center Custom Responsive Theme #1
- Help Center Custom Theme #2
- Help Center Custom Theme #3 (PreLaunch Theme)
Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Sounds good! Let us know if you need anything else. :)

Hi Scott - since Jessie listed all my themes just wanted to let you know if you decide to go this route and need any help please feel free to reach out to me.

Hi Wes,
I missed your post until going back through old emails, but I did want to say thanks for your offer to help.
For what it's worth, our team chose to move forward without modifications of any sort, and our fears of millions of people clicking the "Submit a request" button never manifested.

Is there still no way to remove this and the sign in buttons on mobile? We've got a fairly customized desktop version of our HC, but we are stuck with items we don't want on Mobile. I hate to disable the mobile version but we may have to.
-
@Brad - You can't do alot of customization via the mobile. Your best bet is to turn off the mobile and build a responsive theme. Once you theme is responsive then you can easily hide those buttons.

We have two help centers, one that we customized to be mobile responsive (before ZD had a mobile responsive HC theme) and one that uses the Copenhagen (ZD standard mobile responsive) theme.
We've disabled the sign-in on our customized theme, but it shows up on mobile.
Any tips on where I can find this to remove it. It really causes confusion for our customers.

@Kim - Are your Help Centers open to the public if so can you please post the link so I can take a look at the code your running.

Hi there
I have the same problem - want to remove the "Submit a request" and "My requests" options at the bottom of the mobile site. Have you gotten further in your possibilities to alter this with custom theme?
-
Hey Candmf!
It's not possible to customize the custom theme but, as Wes mentions above, you can disable the mobile version of the site and use a responsive theme instead. If you're using our Copenhagen theme, you're already using a responsive theme. Otherwise, Wes wrote a Tip on how to make one of our old themes responsive.

Hi!
I'm using Copenhagen but I don't see where to remove the submit a request button from the mobile site. I've already removed it from our desktop version. From the comments it looks like I should be able to do this with a responsive theme. Can someone please provide some more guidance? Thanks!

Hey Emily,
In Guide, if you navigate to Guide Admin>Guide Settings can you confirm there's no mobile layout checkbox enabled? It's possible this option is preventing you from customizing the Help Center for mobile devices. Disabling this option will remove it completely since this feature is no longer available in favor of the responsive Copenhagen theme.
Let me know if you don't see this option enabled on your end.
Thanks!
