Knowledgebase Variables/Alias
Is it possible to have (using out of the box functionality or marketplace addons) variable/placeholder text in Zendesk Knowledgebase Articles?
I.e., a variable that is set in the administration section i.e. product_name
When this variable is put into a knowledgebase article, it takes the variable value ?

Hi Timothy,
Unfortunately, we do not have this functionality yet in Zendesk. But what you have in mind seems like an interesting feature, would it be possible if you can post in on our Product Feedback here: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200132066-Community-Product-feedback?
A possible workaround for this is by using the dynamic content. If you wish to know more information about Dynamic Content, you may refer here: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203663366-Exporting-and-importing-dynamic-content-Plus-and-Enterprise-

Thanks Anna Mae.
Can you use Dynamic Content in articles?

Hi Timothy,
You can add dynamic content to any page template by customising the design, and using the dc helper. More information about the dc helper here and we have a walkthrough of this process here.
As for the article content: to provide multilingual support you can upload individual translations, which will be displayed when end users change the language. You can read about that here.

Niall,
Thanks for the information, I am aware you can add DC to pages.
What I want is for DC to be available in articles, so that I can define a product name in one brand, and then use that DC under another brand (it did not relate to translation)
