    Hi Lila!

This is an interesting question. I know that you can create tables to use in Help Center articles, but I don't know whether you'd be able to add them to the ticket submission page or not. I'm going to check with our Community Moderators and see if they can give us any insight here.

    Hi Jessie,

Just following up to advise that with the assistance of one of our front end developers, I was able to use the table from your style.css file on my new_request_page.hbs via <table class="table">.  However, it only had horizontal borders and we wanted borders for all rows and columns, so we didn't use it.

I was able to add css code directly to the page meeting our requirements, so it is possible :)

Hi Lila! Thanks so much for following up on this! I'm glad you were able to get it figured out.

If you're interested, it would be great if you wanted to write that up as a Tip for our Tips & Tricks section. I know other users would find it helpful! Plus you'll get a gift from the Community Team. :)

    Jessie,

Will do but want to ensure the developer has a chance to review and vet my code first :)

FYI, I also have code to share for this community question I posed on how to auto populate subject using a value selected in a custom drop down field:  https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115008085008/comments/360001625428

As a side note/question, are you aware of anywhere that you document what your out of the box css styles are for beginners like me so I don't have to apply them to find out?

    Hey Lila!

I'm not sure I understand your question...could you clarify for me?

    Hi Jessie,

The help center comes with a pre-defined css in the style.css file.  That file contains code for tables, so I wanted to try to use it on the new_request_page.hbs template instead of making my own code.

I was able to call the ZD code by inserting <table class="table"> on new_request_page.hbs template.  However, upon doing so, I learned that it created a table with only horizontal borders (like on this ZD support page):  https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203662036-Understanding-and-setting-light-agent-permissions

We required a table with horizontal AND vertical borders, so we decided against using the ZD code and went ahead with our own custom code.

What I am asking if there is anything documenting the styles contained in the style.css file visually, so beginners like myself can understand what your code does before we apply it,

    Did that help?

    Hey Lila!

Thanks so much for clarifying. I don't know of any documentation on that specifically, although there's a lot of good information available in our Help Center CSS Cookbook. We also have several coding experts here in the Community who should be able to help with any questions you have!
