Custom Metrics
RespondidaIs there a simple way to see metrics and then create a new metric or copy and edit an existing metric. Does it have to be done within a Query. I'm confused on how to create custom metrics that I used in Insights. Thanks

Hi Tina,
Sorry about the late reply on this one! You can create custom metrics in Explore by using calculated metrics within the Query Builder. To create custom metrics using your own calculations, like in Insights, you can create Standard calculated metrics.
Creating basic calculated metrics and attributes is a recently updated article describing them. There is also Navigating the Formula writing window, which instructs you on how to use Explore's version of the Advanced Metric Editor.
It should be noted that Explore does not use MAQL, so any functions you create will need to use Explore's formula writing language. There are several other types of calculated metrics and attributes that do not require you to enter formula. You can find them all here.

or do you have a document similar to this one https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/222794107-Creating-custom-metrics-in-Insights for Explore ?

Hey Tina,
This was just an update to your post you created 2 years ago. We went ahead and closed the post for comments and marked Jessica Marasco's response as the official answer in case any other users had the same question.
Hope this clears up any confusion :)
