Hi Team Explore,
First of all I'm very existed of being apart of the early access program for Explore! I’m interested in learning a little bit more about the viewing of the dashboards and queries for Explore when it’s time for the general availability. The concept today is great where you can share your dashboards via URL to users, in & outside the organization. However, I miss some sort of “view only” mode where I can publish dashboards to our different stakeholders where myself and them and filter and drill down reports without being inside the editing tool.
The parallel here is “Insights” within Support engined from GoodData. There I can create more and less dynamic dashboards for different parts of the customer service organization, where team leaders and admins can on a daily basis view progress for our different KPI:s.
Today it seems like all the dashboards are stored within Explore under Dashboards, and even though these users might not be admins to Explore it’s a bit complicated to get a good overview. Also, because I’m an admin I always see the dashboards in edit mode which is not optimal.
Are you working on or see any possibility of integrating Explore in Zendesk Support, like with Insights/gooddata today or will it be a complete external tool? Personally, I believe in having both, possibility to have dashboards on a URL base but also having the data stored within a support in some way just because that is the main tool/hub in the product family of Zendesk.
This mockup is based on the idéa of having Zendesk Explore viewed in Zendesk Support, but a feature like this as far for us could be directly in Explore. But the option of navigating in the different reports and dashboards are a bit easier.
This type of visualization and navigation would be even more important when we in the future can create dashboards and import data from other sources.
