Integration with Maple CRM
RespondidaWe are looking for integrating Maple CRM with Zopim as we have many of customers using Zopim and they want their chats with agents to come as a lead to the CRM. We have contacted in 2013 and the request was not considered.
Request one of the following:
1. Provide an integration option in zopim for Maple CRM
2. Provide an option in Zopim to call external web service API (Maple CRM API), which can post the lead identity and chat details to external system.
Option 2 would help many other systems also to integrate with Zopim easily.
Looking forward for your response.
Regards,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for the feedback. Currently, we have no immediate plans to offer a first party integration with Maple CRM.
However, we are working on building the Zendesk Apps Framework inside of Zopim this quarter. This would allow 3rd parties, like Maple CRM, to build an app to create and manage the contact within the Zopim dashboard.
You can learn more about the new app framework that will support multi-products here: https://developer.zendesk.com/apps/docs/apps-v2/zaf_v2
The Zopim specific APIs should be available in 2-3 months.
Thanks,
Ramin

Hello Ramin,
Thanks for your quick response.
Its disappointing to see that you dont provide integration even after requesting it for 3 years. I am sure there are feature roadmap takes the priority but can you provide a reason why its not considered especially when you have customers out there looking for zopim works with Maple CRM.
Today we are pulling the data using chat interface API. This isnt a great solution for Maple or Zopim as its process intensive or both ends.
Looking forward for some engagements from you as a PLM in this area.
Thanks,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,
If we were too build everything our customers ask for, we would have a bloated and unfocused product. I understand that you are naturally invested in having a Maple CRM integration since you work at Maple CRM. In terms of CRM integration requests, Maple CRM is not the most requested or used with our customers.
Like I mentioned earlier, we are building the APIs via the apps framework that would support CRM usecases. If you look at the Zendesk apps, there are many CRM services that build their own apps. Here is the full list: https://www.zendesk.com/apps/#crm
Once the Zopim APIs are done, many of these apps may choose to also support Zopim. Maple CRM could be one of those apps if you want to invest in building the app.
