Outbound call delay
RespondidaWe use talk which works well for inbound calls however if I select to make an outbound call to a mobile or landline number there is a 2 - 3 second delay which makes talking really difficult and we end up repeating things because we are clashing when responding.
We are based in Australia and have reliable internet in the office.
Strangely, inbound calls do not have the same delay. I'm currently using Skype for outbound calls which does not have the same problem as talk does however I'd love to use talk for outbound.

Please read this and this to secure your network is properly configurated.
Also, a good way to determine if the issue is related to your network, try logging on to Zendesk Talk at you own PC at home and see if the issue still occurs.

That is not expected behavior. I checked in with one of our Customer Advocates, and here were their suggestions:
First, make sure that you have followed the instructions in the article Talk network requirements and have the needed ports opened and implemented traffic prioritization for Zendesk Talk traffic.
They also recommended that you work through the steps in our Optimizing Zendesk Talk quality guide, which could hold the key to resolving your call quality issues.

If you're still having trouble at that point, our best bet will be to create a ticket and have one of our Customer Advocates look more closely at your account.
