How to make different chat now button for each agent?

    It’s not available out of the box, but building it is doable but requires a combination of

    • Chat Widget API
    • Triggers in Chat

    The basic premise is this:

    1. Load the chat button on the website.
    2. Use the widget API to add a custom tag to the chat widget when they click a specific agents’ chat button.
    3. Create a trigger in Chat admin that assigns specific tags to specific agents.

    The chat button code can be found via https://chat.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/212679527-

    The code to add a tag to a chat is the following:

    <script type="text/javascript"> 
    zE('webWidget', 'updateSettings', {
    webWidget: { chat: {{"tags": ["Agent007"]}
    }
    });
    </script>

    You can run this code via a button onclick() command, or whatever your web developer prefers.

    Might want to check with your web developers but this should do the trick!
