Add Hours to Holiday Schedules

Would love to see a future iteration that would allow for more granular holiday scheduling (IE - We're closing at noon the day before Christmas and 3PM the day before New Year's).  The workaround right now is to manually adjust business schedules for that week, and then manually adjust back the following Monday.

Thanks @...!  I'm thinking of something as simple as "This holiday begins on 12PM on 12/24/19 and ends on 8AM on 12/25/19

Hi,

In Brazil, we have a holliday Wednesday after carnival, in the morning. So, in the afternoon not is holliday.

This request is very good!

100%! Adjusting the schedule has other implications which we found out the hard way this Christmas & New Year's Eve.

When we changed the schedule back after the holiday we had a bunch of tickets breach because technically due to the schedule changing back - they were past due.

This is definitely something that is needed.

I commented on this 1 year ago - but coming back to this because there is still not a viable solution! Zendesk can we get some feedback on if i this is in the pipeline?

Here is this year's comment:

Could not agree more with this request! We adjusted business schedules last year and it caused weird issues with tickets breaching - so we just went "holiday less" this year and told people to manage their ticket SLAs before they left on our early release day.

But of course, we had 1 person respond after we left and that gave our team 5 mins into our work day to respond which just isn't feasible. This has got to be something that can be rolled out as most vendors we use have this option!

In Switzerland we do have 1/2 day office closures or early closure prior to holidays (e.g. Dec. 24th the offices close at 3 pm instead the regular 5 pm). This feature would be really helpful.

Just adding my vote here - we work some holidays with reduced hours (e.g. 9-5 as opposed to our regular 7-7) so this would be great so that we are not having to choose between being penalised in our SLAs or adding a fake holiday to account for the reduced work time.

In Austria we also have these kind of 'half day holiday' thing. So it would be really useful!

It would be a very good option, since some companies have reduced hours during the holidays, such as the month of August, and it would be of great help.

Thank you everyone for continuing to upvote this. This is not on our roadmap for this year, so I have changed the status of this to Not Planned, for now. I've also updated the title of the request to make it clearer the ask here is for adding hours to holidays.

Adding my vote here too. It's tedious from an admins perspective to have to manually update operating hours for teams that work reduced or alternative hours on holidays.
