Our use case is a product change log. We want notifications to go out to those following the article every time we update it to announce new releases, hot fixes, etc. We currently have to remember to add a comment "This article has been updated" so people who have clicked the Follow button get a notification. Then we have to remember to delete the comment. It's really clunky.
