Hey there,

Just an update on this issue, it seems like the macro shortcut will only work if there has been nothing written in the text box, once something has been written on the text box the shortcut stops working.

If this feature could please be updated that would be great as we find that agents want to add macro replies or multiple macros to a message and navigating away while using the mouse can become quite inefficient. 

Thanks for looking into this matter further.

When using the keyboard shortcuts to open the macro box Ctrl + Alt + M while trying to type a public reply or an internal note, the keyboard focus does not change.

This causes additional work to start typing in the textbox by either using your mouse to click into the box or using the tab button a number of times.

Please look into this as it creates an inefficient workflow. Thank you

This definitely needs to be done Zendesk! it has almost been 3 years and there is still no resolution for this.
