Multiple shared numbers for end user
Hi there,
I'm facing an issue with shared numbers, I can't have more than one shared number for each end user.
My system is configured to open tickets on any incoming call and authomatically recognizes the user by the Caller ID number.
Let's say that user A, user B and user C, from the same company, can call me from their own mobile numbers and from a couple of shared office numbers, something like two different organization numbers.
What I see is that I cannot insert a second shared phone number if the user already have one. Why this limitation? This is causing me problems since I have many users sharing many phone numbers.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion
Andrea

Hey Andrea -
I see you're getting some assistance with this in a private ticket, but let us know if there's anything else we can help with. -
Hi Nicole,
got the assistance in the private ticket, it seems to be product limitation at the moment.
Anyone facing this issue, keep using custom fields for users.
Cheers

How do other accounts handle shared phone numbers? We are having the same issue....

Hi, I would like to vote for the feature request, please.
It would be very helpful to be able to share a phone number or save number under an Organization.

Any update on this? Big issue for us as well. Would love to know how others work around this.

Hey Juliet,
No updates to provide at this time but I'll poke our Product Managers so they know there are users that are still interested in this feature.
Cheers!

Hi Guys
Just an idea as a work around.
Because there's no feature to add a phone number under org profile, the other solution can be creating a user under the org such as, "Org aaa office number" or "Org aaa reception" and save the share number(s) under that account instead of adding the same number under all the users from that org.
Hope it helps.
