Hello - we'd love to be able to create a view showing "all tickets with due date = today". It seems we can't, because "Due Date" really means "Due Datetime" and has a hidden timestamp of 12pm on whatever date was set; and the logic to create a view requires us to choose "hours until due date" and "hours since due date", i.e. related to 12pm, rather than treating the day as a whole. This means we have to create two views:
* One showing tickets where "hours until due date < 12" - and we look at this in the morning
* Another showing tickets where "hours since due date are > 0 and < 12" - and we look at this in the afternoon
Tickets with a due date of today move from the first view to the second, automatically, 12pm. We'd like to be able to see them in one view, all day long - by treating due date as a day rather than a datetime, or perhaps by allowing Due Date to be used in the OR conditions as well as the AND conditions on the view.
(Note: we have tried using a custom date field "target date" to replace Due Date and solve this, but the logic for filtering by custom date field doesn't do everything we want either; we can create a view showing only tickets with target date today, but we can't create one with only overdue tickets i.e. with target date before today; we have to bundle in today's tickets to that view too. Here it would help to have extra operators in the view settings e.g. "is not within...".)
If anyone has any good suggestions for viewing tickets due today / overdue tickets, we'd be grateful!
