I agree either add a trigger for deleted tickets or the ability to create a report on deleted tickets!

A complete integration cannot be properly achieved without this.

Use case: We are tracking customer "chargeable" vs gratis tickets against subscription ticket limits in an external system and we cannot properly accurately maintain a customer's balance without knowing if a ticket was deleted.

The recent updates to Deleted Tickets I'd like to think we can see "Deleted" added as a trigger rule soon.

    Hi all,

For those who just need to know when tickets are deleted for accounting purposes etc. - would the Insights report on deleted tickets help? Insights provides a report for # Tickets Deleted that can be broken down by hour, day, week, month, year, etc. This might not help those who need to trigger an action in some other system (but the incremental API solution from Bob Brown above seems like it would do the trick in those use cases).

    +1 on this FR

My use case is the Salesforce sync. We have a trigger set up to sync New and Updated tickets. When a ticket is deleted, however, it remains open in Salesforce because zendesk does not sync in this case when the ticket is updated.

We utilize zendesk tickets to gauge our customer health. The more open tickets a customer has negatively impacts their health score.

Tickets which are deleted are then stuck open and artificially create negative scores

Huge + 1 also due to the Salesforce sync.  Renders an amazing integration nearly useless without custom work.

Our integration with Zendesk opens a ticket when a problem occurs, and records the ticket number.

We have triggers in place which tell our app when a ticket is marked Solved and again when it's closed, but if the ticket is deleted, we currently don't have way of knowing.

This is a vote to be able to get a notification when a ticket is being deleted.

And I wonder - during the ticket deletion process - is anything done to the ticket (like removing tags or unassigning agents) before the deletion happens.. perhaps we could set a trigger on those actions today?

+1 WE need to delete the topic from forum (integration) when ticket is deleted or marked as spam.

Another vote for a trigger for ticket deleted.  We have external state that needs to get updated if the associated ticket is deleted.

Same situation as everyone above, need to inform other systems on delete.

Same here - is there any plan for this functionality?

We have ebay notifications coming into our zendesk. Some of them are critical to solving customer problems. Others are just notifications about an item not having sold. We need a way to keep the customer-critical ones but delete the other non-critical notifications before they clog up our zendesk queue.

    Hi,

Deleted tickets are mentioned in the /api/v2/incremental/tickets.json response. My approach for now has been to run this periodically, fetch the tickets mentioned and if they 404 then I can mark them as deleted in my system.

    Cheers,

    - Bob -

Thank you Bob for sharing your workaround and to everyone for their feedback.

Unfortunately, there is no update yet on this specific feature request.  However, keep voting as we do look at the community feedback for product planning.

    @Bob Brown, in relation to

if they 404 then I can mark them as deleted in my system.

What are you using a safeguard that you don't delete tickets in error?

This is exactly what we are doing as well.

+1 Need to know in Salesforce if a Ticket is deleted.

    A simple tag would do
