I would imagine the logic

Ticket Created < 2015

and

Ticket status is not solved

Hi Andrew,

Are you just looking for how many open tickets you have from this year? Following on from McCabe, my metric would look like this:

SELECT COUNT(Ticket Id, Ticket TagId) WHERE Ticket Status NOT IN (Solved, Closed, Deleted) AND Year(Ticket Created) = 2015

You could also swap the COUNT statement for the pre-defined metric # Tickets of you wanted.

If the tickets solved side of your equation might include tickets created in previous years then it'd look more like this:

SELECT (COUNT(Ticket Id, Ticket TagId) WHERE Year(Ticket Created) = 2015) - (COUNT(Ticket Id, Ticket TagId) WHERE Year(Ticket Solved) = 2015)

Hope this helps!

Hi,

I already have a count for created and one for solved. (shown below)

Based on the above figures we have 130 more tickets raised than we have solved so far this year. I would like to add a third section to the above image called difference in this case the difference would show figure 130

To do that I need metric that takes the total for 2015 created and subtracts the total solved in 2015 (obviously would have to show a negative figure when the solved is greater than the created)

Thanks

Andrew

OK cool. In that case, the second metric above should do the trick!
