It seems that in Zendesk you can have an article either as a draft or as published only. If you want to update a published article (e.g product update) into draft mode, it is pulled off the Help Center although if you have the URL which often our customers have, then you can view the draft version. Which is a bit of a horror if you are working on an article. One of ZDs well known competitors does this well by leaving the published article as is, while you work on a draft. You can then publish the draft to replace the published article. ZD sorely needs this as creating a new article as a draft can be a pain especially when adding tags and the like.
