Can you post articles in categories and skip the "section" level?

    What I mean is client does not want a section. Just category and directly articles. How should we do that. Please help

    Hi @Vanitha,

    You cannot move articles to section level but you can create a single category and add all the sections under that category. It will create the flow that your client wants which is on the guide side it will show only sections and the articles in that section i.e. two-level hierarchy.

    No,  we do have other categ-section-articles already present. Just one category alone needs articles directly under it without a section in-between.

    Having articles at the section level limits the editing capabilities does it not? I mean you cannot insert images.

    @Vanitha, where do you want to insert images? You cannot have articles directly under categories without sections. It will be a category-section-articles.

    It is not possible to create an article directly within a category. You can read more about that in this article: Announcing Flexible Hierarchies for Zendesk Guide Enterprise where it says "You can create or place articles at any section level of the hierarchy (but not under categories)." This is true for the normal Guide hierarchies structure as well.

    If you are looking to have only a two tiered help center hierarchy setup (just sections > articles, rather than categories > sections > articles) then all you need to do is simply create one category, and set up your sections and articles the way you'd like underneath that. When you publish your help center, the category will not be visible to customers because it is the only one. You can see more detail on this process in previous comments on this post.
