Add the ability to turn a new ticket into a Follow-Up ticket
Since the ability to re-open closed tickets is not on the horizon, It would be beneficial to turn new tickets into follow-up tickets.
Currently, if a new ticket is submitted by a client in regards to a ticket that is already closed, I have to view the original closed ticket, create a follow-up ticket and then merge the clients new ticket with the follow-up ticket. I would like to have the ability to simply make the customers new ticket the follow-up ticket.
Would it be possible to add "Convert to Follow-Up" to the ticket options pull down?

Is there another way to do this I'm unaware of?

I would second this request. At our company, we often have a team of users creating and commenting on the same tickets. Since only the original requester of a ticket can open a follow up, the other user has no choice but to create a new ticket with no links to the original ticket.
It would be nice if anyone could create a follow-up to any ticket, including doing if after the fact per the above request.
