Operating Hours of departments should be always forced regardless of agent status

    Wow, great use case. I would like the option to choose this as the admin, and be able to set this department by department. In some cases, if an agent is online, we want the chat to appear even if the department is closed.  Give us some control over this and it would be win-win!

    Thanks for the feedback Adam and Heather. Currently, there are no plans to make enhancements to the operating hours functionality in 2018. 

    If this is something you want now as a workaround, it would require custom code by either using the Javascript APIs for the Widget or using the Web SDK to get the operating hours schedules.

    It is very sad to read your lines, as this was a bug report, not a feature request.

    The way departments and operating hours work together (in reality: NOT work together) is a bug, it causes severe problems for our agents and it is not an acceptable response to ask us to upgrade to your most expensive package AND fix it ourselves.
