    Hi there,

That sounds like a bug. Can you let us know what language and provide a screenshot of the issue?

Will work with the i18n team to get this resolved for you if it is indeed a bug.

    Thanks,

    Ramin

Sorry to hear that. Just for clarification sake, here are the languages we support on the widget: https://zopimsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/218953857-Setting-the-language-on-the-chat-widget

And here are the languages the dashboard supports: https://zopimsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/212016478-Editing-your-personal-settings-in-Zopim-

These languages are fully translated and there shouldn't be any English strings.

Regardless, hope you are satisfied with the other chat provider on your store.

I know that, I used it. But still texts not translated like "Please introduce yourself", "name", "email" from the form in the widget.

I checked your site and noticed that there are english strings in the form on your Tawk.to widget:

Here is an example of the Zopim pre-chat form in French (the language on your site):

So the widget is properly translated, it might have been the case that it wasn't configured correctly.

There are english text, yes, but these are words included into french laguage ;-) like "support" or "live". And in the dashboard of tawk we can change the whole texts in the widget manualy, so we can put whatever we need.
For the zopim widget I'm surprised! That exactly what I needed, but on the chat support I had with one of your employees, she saids it was not possible!! I'm sorry about that because if I known it was possible, I wouhld have chosen your solution... :-(

Sorry that the agent gave you the wrong information. You cannot set custom strings for all of the widget like what you are describing with Tawk.to, we translate fields automatically for our customers. Most customers are happy with out of the box translations.

Fields like the department label or greeting can be customized by you with whatever text you want. I just copy and pasted the text as an example.

Zopim isn't going anywhere so if you decide to try us out again down the road, we are here to help :D

    Hi @Ramin,

The departments itself still can't be translated / set dynamically over the API?

    Best, Philip

    Hi Philip,

Currently, you cannot set or dynamically change the department names via the API. If you are on the Premium plan, you can look at using the Web SDK and do custom mapping of translated department names and the department ID based on the language set. This would require development work on your end.

We understand that overall dynamic content is important for customers serving customers around the world and we are looking to add this functionality to shortcuts first in the next 6 months.

    Hi Ramin,

We already use the Web SDK to quite some extend, but I didn't find anything about custom department mapping. (only setting departments via the api).

Can you provide a specific link or example to your suggestion?

    Thanks, Philip

There is no API for the mapping, you would need to handle it yourself with custom code.

Knowing the department ID with https://api.zopim.com/web-sdk/#zchat-getdepartment-id

You can then map the custom text for each language to whatever specific department ID you want.
