SMS chat via Zopim
RéponduAllow customers to chat with my agents via SMS. The SMS system would hook up via Twilio (or whatever service we decide), and customers can chat with my agents. The agents would be replying in the same Zopim chat dashboard they usually respond in.

Thanks for the feedback on adding SMS as a channel within Zopim. Currently, there are no immediate plans in adding this functionality to Zopim but we are considering to explore SMS as a potential channel within Zendesk this year.

SMS is offered via the Talk product in the Support dashboard via a ticket: https://www.zendesk.com/talk/text/
We have no plans to offer SMS in Chat.

We want visitors to our website(s) to be able to open a Chat and have that seamlessly connect with an agent via SMS text message. It looks like that can't be done.
However, I just noticed the Zendesk Chat mobile app. This will probably do the trick actually. Just wanted a way to have an agent(s) stay online while on the go and could answer chats via mobile.

Yeah, I would recommend giving the mobile apps a shot to solve your need to answer chats on the go.
