Web SDK methods never fail/timeout?

    Hi Niklas,

    I've been in touch with our Product Manager for the Web SDK, and he's confirmed that this is currently the expected behaviour. To implement the web SDK you should set your own timeout, and act accordingly if the request is not satisfied in the necessary time.

    In the case where the connection is lost, you may not get a connection_update event with the value of closed as the client won't be able to receive the event from the server.

    Hope this helps! You can get the widget status using zChat.getConnectionStatus today: https://api.zopim.com/web-sdk/#zchat-getconnectionstatus, and our PM had mentioned we may plan on exposing the network connection status to the Web SDK in the future, but nothing planned as of yet.

    We just updated the Web SDK to v1.3 which includes an update to the connection_update event when there is a disconnection.
