I worked with Zendesk support, who encouraged me to submit this feedback.
I often have to copy and paste images into ticket comments or Guide articles in short order, and rely on the editor's preview capability to let me know what will show up (WYSIWYG). However, the functionality is inconsistent.
If I use a local screen capture application to take images, copy them, and paste into Zendesk, they generally work fine. However, sometimes I'll be copying images from other application web pages, that ultimately show up rendering fine in Zendesk upon previewing in WYSIWYG. In the latter case, upon sending comments or saving articles, the article ends up broken and not rendering. Support has told me that is due to the image being locked down and ZD needing access to the application that the image was pulled from to render, which makes sense, but why doesn't Zendesk allow the image to be broken when previewing article content or comments? Isn't that true WYSIWYG?
Does anyone else have this problem and see the need for an improvement? I imagine other customers get a false sense of security seeing images show up fine in preview, only to have it break when it gets sent to the client.
