    Hi Amy Gracer

Thank you for checking the time filters this thoroughly!

Unfortunately, this is the situation where we have limited data available. We'll continuously record future article view data and have it available in the Knowledge Base dataset. So in some months you'll be able to do the exercise of comparing the current views to previous months.

Our Explore team is working on setting product limits for how long historic data is available in Explore. If you have some inputs for what the useful data range for your business is, then please do share and I'll pass it on to the team.

Also - We'll see what we can do on limiting the time filter range, but we cannot promise anything on short term here, unfortunately.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Monkia. I suspected this might be the case. What is the range of date that is available? 1 month?

    You're welcome Amy Gracer

The range of the data is currently account specific, but you'll have at least 7 days from the time we enable you on the Early Access Program. You can go to the default Knowledge Base dashboard and select the time filter > the simple view > All history. Then you'll see the full data range in the Views by date report, for instance.

Thanks Monika, I came here to learn if this is the case for us too.

I am also having an issue on the KB EAP Dashboard when switching our time filter to "beginning of this year" to "today". The data doesn't seem to update on the "Views by date" graph. It holds the last 30 days.

Our business case is that we may want to see which particular dates and months over the past year showed the highest volume of views and clicks, and be able to filter on certain articles.

If this is just a limitation with the current data set during EAP that is fine. Hopefully we can achieve this sometime in the future. Thanks!

    Hi Sam Donovan

It should indeed be a limitation of the current dataset. Each day you should be able to see more and more data when you set the time filter to All history

For your particular use case - I am curious to know if you're able to build a custom query to make this analysis more convenient for you? It could be something like a new query showing a table with article views by month+year (for instance). You could use the decompose functionality to drill down to the views on individual articles - or you could play around with adding an article title/id filter or top/bottom filter on article views, similar to what we have in the default Knowledge Base dashboard today. Let me know if you find any limitations besides the limited data available.

    Thanks!

Hi Monika Kovacic - I was able to create a custom query tabular view of the article information using the new Guide Data set. It's great! The available row and filter information is expansive and will definitely suit our needs. Thank you very much,

    --Sam
