Good to see the article editor is getting some attention. I'm hoping the following ideas have been considered for the article editor UI enhancements:

- Buttons to insert tabs/accordions/buttons (rather than having to code them in manually)
- Collaborative working (supporting multiple users in the document at once)
- Image support for content blocks
- A table of contents generator
- An easier way to create article templates
- Better alignment between editing view and preview/published views

EDIT: the ability to add inline comments when an article in in progress would also be very beneficial.

The editor is very basic. I would love to see buttons introduced that simply insert a note or a callout text box that doesn't require coding knowledge to implement.

Another feature request is to allow readers to select a particular article version, for example, some users may be using an app version 1.0 with different documentation to the app version 2.0. A simple toggle at the top of an article that's easy to implement (i.e., no code required) would be fantastic.

Are there plans to make this more straightforward in Zendesk Guide? Implementing all of these fairly technical steps is time-consuming and not practical when there are multiple articles that require version control.

I've added the promote functionality and my promoted articles appear on my homepage which is great. What I've noticed is that my side navigation is showing the promoted articles at the top of the menu, confusing the order in which the articles should be read. 

Is there a way to have the promoted articles displayed on the homepage but for it not to impact the order anywhere else? This is quite a big problem for our workflows.

I also have another question regarding the star that's meant to appear next to the article; this doesn't show in my help centers - any idea as to why not?

I'm looking to add a list of the most popular articles onto my help centre homepage. We don't currently use any voting functionality on articles. Is it possible to add a list of the most viewed articles?

Hi Nicole,
It's really disappointing to hear that the article editor is not one of the features in the development cycle as it seems like it's definitely in need of some attention. There's a good few features it would benefit from having including find and replace, co-editing, image uploading enhancements, hyperlinking enhancements, more styling tools, etc.
When will the article editor be in the development cycle?

It seems off that there's no 'find and replace' feature in Zendesk Guide. The editor is very limited in terms of what it can do, is this on the roadmap?
