Hello Tess,
I don't know if anyone from Zendesk already reached out to you, because Sell is not their first priority :-(
We have been dealing with the same issue. Currently we change the first name of an obsolete contact to: [Old] First Name Last Name. In that way all communication will be available for later.

Dear Shawna,
When reading latest release notes I noticed that Sell is no longer mentioned, not even in the section ‘Products with no updates this week’ !
Your honest feedback would really be appreciated.

Dear Shawna,
Thank you for reaching out. When checking your release notes, the last Sell update I found was April '23 ! So I really doubt your statement about development for Sell.
Perhaps you could share a part of your roadmap for Sell?

Hi Murray,
I'm not surprised by your experiences since I was told that Zendesk stopped developing for Sell. We have been asking for a few fixes and improvements, but that will not be implemented in the ‘foreseeable future’.

Hi Bradley,
We don't use the mail option from Sell, but use Oultlook instead. Then we do have this issue as well:
Furthermore, sometimes these emails do come in but syncing between "Contact" and the "Deal" associated to that contact might not happen at all. So if I'm in the Deal, I wont see the email they sent.. only in Contact. this appears to be at random. Sometimes it syncs... sometimes it doesn't
Once you've started a deal for a contact, all e-mail (both related and not related) will be included in the deal. This is very annoying when you have multiple deals active.
We have been asking for improvements since early 2022. Their comment always was that they'll try to include a solution in next year's development plan. And nothing ever improved....

In another topic of this community I was told that:
Zendesk has halted roadmap development for Sell, so no new additions and improvements can be expected for this product in the foreseeable future.

As also Christian was mentioning, we are not waiting for bots and automation features. We would like you to fix the basic stuff!
We have reported several improvements which were reported as 'Voice of the customer' to be placed on the roadmap. Looking at your weekly product updates, it seems there is no development for Sell at all. Could you, at least, confirm or deny that?

I've heard the same rumor.. seriously hope that this is not the case, because there is still a lot to improve when looking at basic CRM stuff !
