Team, is there also a Wildcard function within Guide search, like within ZD Support?
https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408835086106-Using-Zendesk-Support-advanced-search
shows the Support Wildcard *, but as far as I can see, this Wildcard doesn't work in Guide.

I did a test in our own KB:
Searching article title will give results of articles with ONLY the word article and also will give results with ONLY the word title.
This to me is considered the OR logic.

If this is correct then the above statement within this article is incorrect: “For example, reporting bugs -support returns content containing the words reporting and bugs, but excludes those that contain the word support from the result set.”

 

This should be: ….the words reporting OR bugs,…..

 

Only when using double quotes for each word, this becomes an AND logic search, otherwise its an OR logic search.

 

Can this be confirmed by ZD?

Dear all, there is no example given when not using double quotes. What are the search results when for example entering article title?
Will the search results come back with ONLY both words within an article, randomly placed within the article?

Or will it also come back with all articles which ONLY have the word article (not title) AND will also come back with articles with ONLY the word title (not article)?

Hi all, I'm trying to do something similar: I would like to have a collection of URL's  of articles which have the same label(s) shown in an “collection” article body. Everytime an article is created within the KB, with the same label, it will automatically be added to this “collection” article.
This setup should be used in multiple “collection” articles but with different labels per “collection” article, so that each “collection” article shows its own list of URLs to articles which have the same label. Through this we can show the same article URL which has multiple labels in multiple “collection” articles.
I have to assume you then need to add different code into each “collection” article to show articles with certain label(s), next to adding some code in *hbs / *.js files?
Has anybody tried this and can give code examples? many thanks!

Does anybody know how to adjust the text line break spacing (height) in a table, within a content block? (in yellow in below screenshot)
Line-height in the Content Block code will only adjust the line height of a continuous sentence, but not an actual line break (enter/return) .

I've searched and tried, but I'm not really able to change the vertical spacing between components what make up the complete guide article.

Where in the code can I adjust this? Should this be adjusted by padding, line-height, else?
I'm especially interested in changing the areas in yellow in the below screenshot, for all articles in the KB:

Any feedback is hugely appreciated. Tnx!

is the “Created” date the initial Publishing date? or is it the date the article was created in draft?
If the latter then the actual initial publishing date could be days, weeks, months later than the initial creation date in draft, depending on when you want to publish initially.

Publication Feedback - Chat and Messaging (Chat)

Hi all,

Can you setup either Chat and/or Gather in such a way that it can only be used for chatting/communicating with Partners? (Partners are intl. Distributors, Resellers, Independent Service organisations etc. for my company)

This would mean that customers should not see or be able to use Chat/Gather, only these partners.
I know there are other collaboration platforms which can do this, but wanted to verify the possibilities within Zendesk too.
Eg: can zendesk select who has access to Chat/Gather by signed-up user?

etc...
